Doctoral Research Associate
EU-Forscher*in
(salary level TV-L E 13)
for the externally European Union funded project “PhotoReAct” commencing on 01 January 2022. We are offering a fixed-term full-time position for 3 years (corresponding to the project’s duration).
Your tasks:
This position is tied to working towards a doctorate.
- collaboration with external partner laboratories as part of the ITN “PhotoReAct”. This project hasreceived funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme underthe Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 956324.
- development of novel energy transfer processes to enable selective alkene isomerization
- mechanistic analysis
- stereocontrolled construction of complex polyenes and bioactive small molecules
Our expectations:
Dipl.-Chem. / Master in chemistry with experience in the production, handling and characterization of sensitive organic-chemical compounds and organometallic compounds as well as preparative organic chemistry, photochemistry and chemical biology. Fluency in written and spoken English is expected.
The MSCA is a researcher mobility programme meaning that the researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (e.g. work, studies) in Germany for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior the recruitment date. Short stays, such as holidays, are not considered. It is required to verify this fact with supporting documentation providing place(s) of residence or work during the previous 3 years. This applies only to first recruitment and not for secondments (see working conditions). The mobility rule is related to residence and not to nationality.
